Internet-Based Product Demonstrations

Wondering what to do when your product needs to be demonstrated to get prospects excited about purchasing, and you want to market on the internet?

The answer may be surprisingly simple: video.

In fact, creating several short videos, and then posting them on sites like youtube can provide many different benefits.

First, you are able to demonstrate the benefits of your product, without being present with your potential customers.

Second, videos are often shared between viewers, and you have a good chance that while one viewer may not be a potential customer, they may know someone that is, and can share your video with them.

Third, the search marketing benefit of video is sometimes astounding. Video results often appear at the top of listings in search engines like Google, creating valuable potential for traffic to your website.

How to Create A Video

There are several tutorials available online that can guide you through the process of creating a promotion or product demo video, but here are a few tips:

1. If you're demonstrating a piece of software, you can use a tool like Camtasia to capture what's you're doing on your computer screen, along with your voiceover. You can also use screenshots in a slideshow-style presentation, again with voiceover, to demonstrate your product.

2. If you're demonstrating a physical product, a video camera or a webcam is a necessity. In fact, Youtube has a built-in tool that will let you quickly create a video using your computer webcam.

Great information! I am working on a website with a video demostration on the home page. I do agree that video helps consumers get an idea of what the product can do. Seeing it for yourself works!
